The coffee is a typical Ethiopian variety with medium-shaped green beans. The indigenous heirloom varietals, which grow wild in Ethiopia, are responsible for unique flavor notes characterized by strong citric acidity, sweet chocolate, and floral/herbal notes of lavender, jasmine, bergamot, and thyme.
There are 6 mills supporting production, including 1 wet mill and 1 dry mill at the main Tore unit, 1 dry mill at Tore Town, 1 wet mill at Giwe sub unit, 1 wet mill at Dango sub unit, and 1 wet mill at Chelbessa sub unit. The annual combined production capacity is about 3,500,000 kg of red cherry.
